The portfolio is a reflective exercise where learners examine their educational achievement and articulate their theories and integration learned in the different classes and practice them in the environmental set-up. The portfolio artifacts enable teachers and tutors to gauge how students can demonstrate their critical thinking and also engage in social work programs to support new students in the curriculum for future academia. There are different types of competencies that are essential for a student to engage under portfolio artifacts; they include communication, technology, professionalism, critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork.
Leadership
Leadership plays a crucial part in students’ academic progress and develop based on skill set and exposure that mold the character and a person. Various aspects of leadership enable a student to be competent in the academic journey, they include self-determination, developing ideas, personal values, and choices.
Critical Thinking
Critical thinking is another critical competency that is vital for portfolio artifact for students to acquire some skills based on the following aspects; develop and design, analyze and technique, and question and investigate.

Communication is a key component among the competency that is essential for students’ educational development. They include the following aspects within communication competency.
Technology
The use of technology in modern society has enabled students from PMU to conduct and research different disciplines the learners are involved in the studies. The use of the internet, computer, and mobile technology has enabled students to access, gather, capture, store, and present a project or research.
Teamwork
Teamwork is one of the significant competencies that enable students to learn from other students in on other abilities and subjects they are weak. Through excellent communication and relationship between learners and teachers, students can explore more abilities on different talents such as sports, academics, and social or societal set-up that molds people’s character and behavior that enables learners to attain their objective.
